Thursday 4/22

Today was Earth Day. I hope that you have done something good for the Earth.

Since I was asked to work this morning while Monkey-2 was at school, absolutely nothing got done today. When my mornings are disrupted my whole day goes wrong. I did get Monkey-2's doctor kit for career day tomorrow and Monkey-3's tiara. Still in search of Princessing as a major for Monkey-3.

Tomorrow I will be grocery shopping while the Monkeys explore their futures at preschool. YEAH!

Tuesday 4/20

Since I did so much yesterday I didn't have as much to get done today, but I did get some important things accomplished!

1. You may have noticed that I clean the Monkey's rooms, but never mention my own room that I share with the RS. Mostly because no matter what I do, it seem like the catch all. So this morning while Monkey-3 was watching Noggin and then Sprout (she is not allowed to watch Barney and he was on when we first turned on the TV) in my room, I started cleaning. Empty trash can and recycling bin to begin with and I got rid of a bunch! YEAH! Now MY side of the bedroom is...cleaner. I vacuumed and HOLY COW there was a lot of dog hair! But I feel better about it and that is all that matters. Some day I will clean under my bed, but those plastic tubs hold all my crafty stuff (even if I'm not really all that crafty).

2. Cleaned the two dog beds we have for Sam. We have one in our bedroom and one in her cage in the basement. I took both outside and shook them off before putting them in the washing machine with an extra rinse cycle. And through the dryer twice. They came out nearly fur free! YEAH! Then I returned them to their places and Sam is a happy doggie with two clean beds!

3. I washed, dried, folded, and put away the light laundry (okay, so technically I folded and put away RS and I's stuff. The Monkey's stuff is still in the basket because it was rest time and I didn't want to interrupt in case Monkey-2 or Monkey-3 decided to fall asleep. I should have known better).

4. I made an Orange-Lemon cake. It wasn't the greatest, but it was okay. Probably not something I will make over and over, but it was a nice change.

5. I forgot to mention that I did empty and refill the dishwasher yesterday, at least 2 times. Today I filled and it is now washing! YEAH for clean dishes!

Things still to be done today:

1. Take Monkeys to piano lessons

2. Make dinner (and tonight I'm makin' WAFFLES!)

3. Empty dishwasher

4. Finish laundry

5. Figure out outfits for Monkey-2 and Monkey-3 for career day on Friday at preschool. Monkey-2 is going as a Vet. Monkey-3 is going as a Princess. I'm still looking for a college with a Princess Degree program. If you come across one, please let me know, I'm sure to need it at the rate I'm going!

Hopefully this will all be accomplished and time will be left over for me to work on some family blog stuff. But that is always something that can be put off until later.

Maybe Monday 4/19

Maybe I shouldn't do so much on Monday and I would have more focus for the rest of the week.

Maybe my Monday energy should last longer than through, well Monday.

Maybe I'll just see what needs to be done the rest of the week and mini clean. Probably how it will go!

Massive Monday cleaning list:

• Three bathrooms ~ cleaned, floors steam mopped
• laundry room ~ floor steam mopped, dryer cleaned off
• Monkey's Rooms ~ floors vacuumed (because the Monkey's have been doing a wonderful job of keeping their rooms cleaner)
• Hallway ~ steam mopped
• living rooms ~ swept, steam mopped
• Kitchen ~ swept, steam mopped
• dark laundry ~ washed, drying (and probably pretty close to being done)
• towels ~ washed, waiting for the dryer to finish for their turn
• Dinner ~ stuffed shells made and in the fridge, will be taken out at 3:30 to put in the oven at 4:30 to be served by RS at 5:30-ish

Things I will be doing very soon:

• Showering
• teeth brushing
• dressed for work
• Hopefully some photo editing for family blog
• reading time with Monkey-2 and Monkey-3 (or some Wii dancing from Just Dance!)

Tuesday 4/13

A busy day in these parts.

• Sheets: changed, washed, dried
• went to the mall with Monkey-3
• took the two younger Monkeys to Target, the fabric store, the bank, the post office, and to pick up Monkey-1 from school
• Took all three Monkeys to piano lessons
• made dinner
• cleaned up the monkeys' rooms, again

Another crazy busy day. As always!

Monday 4/12

I'm in a mood. I am upset with myself, RS, and the Monkeys. I don't feel like myself, and I don't like it. I spent the morning cleaning just about ever nook and cranny in my home that I could clean. Not really, but much more than a normal Monday cleaning.

Done:

• The Three Bathrooms: cleaned, floors steam cleaned with new Shark Steam Mop (and it was FREE!!), mirrors cleaned
• Kitchen: Floor cleaned with steam mop
• Dishwasher: Filled, washed, ready to be emptied
• Dinner: pork chops out and defrosted, now marinating in Italian salad dressing
• Light Laundry (that I skipped doing on Friday): washed, dried, folded, put away
• Dark laundry : washed, almost finished drying
• Towels : washed, waiting for the dryer to finish with the dark clothes
• Bathmats: Waiting to be washed
• Monkeys' Rooms: cleaned and vacuumed (because I didn't vacuum last week, and because I'm sure to have to do it again tomorrow when I change sheets in their rooms)
• Living room: Put things away that have been needed to be put away for 3 weeks and just haven't gotten down stairs. Swept up the massive amounts of dog fur from our sweet doggie who is shedding something horrible! I think we have enough to make a new dog if anyone wants one!
• Made an appointment for Monkey-3 to get her hair cut on Thursday morning. Our stylist has been on maternity leave with her sweet baby boy who was born a month or so ago. So I've been waiting for her to say she is ready to go! YEAH!

I just heard the dryer go buzz, so I'm off to get something more finished before I have to head to work at the Y this evening. Here's hoping I will be in a better mood tomorrow!

Tuesday 4/6

Ah, Tuesday. The boy Monkeys went back to school and I wish I would have gotten more stuff done!

• Monkey's rooms cleaned (but not vacuumed)
• light laundry ~ washed and dried
• went by the bank
• took the van back to Sam's. Gave it to the people. Bought soap. Waited for RS and Monkey-2 to arrive. Ate lunch. Drove back by Sam's, talked to the guy. Took RS back to work. Came home.
• Took Monkey 1 & 3 to piano lessons (and now Monkey-2 wants to be added to the mix)
• Went back to pick up van still with 3 new tires and one old tire and still a broken lug nut. They have informed us they must break it to get the tire off and not we wait until they can get the part to fix it before they break it. And they are not sure exactly when they will be able to get the part. In the good news, the tire, you know the new one, is not sitting around at Sam's, nope, it is in the back of my mini-van! At least the 4 tires I have paid for, I have!

It has been a crazy week. We'll see how my morning without Monkeys goes tomorrow and if I get things done!

Monday 4/5

Happy Monday again! Today was a crazy one!

• Three bathrooms ~ deep cleaned
• dark laundry ~ washed, dried, folded, put away
• towels ~ washed, dried
• cleaned out the medicine cabinet
• cleaned under the two sinks in master bath
• cleaned the drawers in the master bath
• worked at the Y
• took the van to get new tires, came home with three new tires and a broken lug nut

Maybe tomorrow will be less crazy for me.

Friday 4/2

Sorry about skipping Thursday. It was RS and I's 10th wedding anniversary. Just didn't have a moment to sit down and say what all I did, even if it wasn't as much as I was hoping. Not to mention RS took today off so that we could toss the monkeys in the car and hit the road to my parents' house. So packing was the order of the evening!

So today nothing has really gotten done around my house other than I did a load of dishes before I left home! YEAH ME!

Don't forget: Next week is the first full week of the month! DEEP CLEANING TIME FOLKS! Next week I plan to clean the outside of the windows on our house and try out my new Shark Steam Pocket mop! WooHoo!
